So now you think you'd like to stay at Heath Cottage, what do you need to know ?

All cooking, lighting and heating is by electricity - storage heaters plus additional panel heaters in the bedrooms (which we suspect very few people will need to use except maybe in the coldest winter nights). You will be asked to read the electric meter on your arrival and departure and to pay for only the units you use.
All bed linen and towels will be provided free of charge, including kitchen tea-towels and washing cloths. Also provided will be washing-up liquid, dishwasher and washing machine powder. The cottage will be cleaned and beds made up for your arrival.
There will be no change of linen or towels during a 1 week stay. A change during a 2 week stay can be arranged. For a small charge a welcome pack of necessities can be made available for those who are likely to arrive after the shop is closed. A cot and high chair are available on request.
You will be asked to pay a deposit of £100 on booking the cottage. You will then be asked to pay the balance of the full amount of the rental cost 4 weeks prior to arrival. A re-fundable damage deposit of £50 is also requested at that time and will be returned to you no later than 7 days after the end of your stay.

Out of respect for other guests who are allergic to animals or have asthmatic complaints, we regret that we are unable to allow pets to stay in the cottage. Should you wish to bring your dog on holiday with you, we can provide information about excellent kennels nearby.

On the day of your arrival, the cottage will be ready for you from 3pm. We would appreciate it if you could vacate the cottage by 10.30 am on the morning of your departure to ensure we have plenty of time to get it ready for the next occupants. Arrangements will be made for you to collect and leave the keys.

In the cottage, you will find a wide selection of information about things to do and see in the area, about places to eat and local information to help you make the most of your stay.

Rental Costs
The cottage will normally be let for periods of a week with changeover days on a Saturday. The rental cost will normally be fixed even if less than 6 people will be occupying it. However, during the low season, we will be happy to receive enquiries for shorter periods such as week-ends and to charge a lower cost for fewer people. Please call us to discuss these options.
