Location and Attractions
Boat of Garten is a quiet Highland village, nestling by the side of the mighty River Spey and best known for the Strathspey Steam Railway which connects it with its livelier neighbour Aviemore and for the nearby RSPB reserve which is home to the most famous Osprey breeding grounds in the UK. The village itself has a pub and a few eating places; many more are within 5 to 10 miles. There is also a general shop which is open long hours including Sunday, a Post Office and a Laundry within the local campsite. |
